A LUXURY ROAD & TRACK DRIVING EXPERIENCE
Open Road: Colorado was created for drivers who crave more than a scenic drive. It is a luxury driving experience designed to immerse you in the thrill of Colorado's most breathtaking backroads from the driver’s seat of your own car.
Every route is meticulously scouted to deliver the perfect balance of exhilarating driving roads and unforgettable scenery, while each thoughtfully chosen stop invites you to pause, take in the landscape, and capture the moment through curated photo opportunities and activities.
Driver registration is $6,500, with a passenger add-on for $1,000.
Departure | Golden
The route leaves Golden on US-6 West into Clear Creek Canyon, beginning immediately with one of the more focused driving sections of the day.
Red Rocks Stop
A brief stop at Red Rocks offers time to take in one of Colorado’s most recognizable landscapes before continuing west.
Loveland Pass
The climb to Loveland Pass brings the group over the Continental Divide at nearly 12,000 feet, with a stop at the summit for photos and a clear view of the surrounding high-alpine terrain.
Lunch
Lunch is scheduled along the route before the afternoon drive continues.
Swan Mountain Run
From there, the route continues around Lake Dillon via Swan Mountain Road, a narrower and more technical section that offers a more engaging alternative to the main highway.
Hotel Arrival | The Sebastian - Vail
By late afternoon, guests arrive at the hotel in Vail with time to check in, reset, and refresh before the evening.
Welcome Dinner | Ludwigs
The evening begins with a private dinner, bringing the group together for the first formal dinner of the experience.
Departure | The Sebastian - Vail
The day begins with a southbound departure from Vail on Highway 24, leading quickly into the climb over Battle Mountain and setting the tone for a more demanding day on the road.
Camp Hale Memorial
A stop at Camp Hale offers a brief pause in a high mountain setting with strong ties to Colorado’s military and alpine history.
Lunch
Lunch is scheduled before the route continues into the afternoon’s higher and more exposed sections.
Fremont Pass
The drive continues over Fremont Pass, where the road moves through open mining country and one of the more visually expansive sections of the day.
The River Run | Highway 131
From there, the route follows the Eagle River corridor north, trading higher-altitude climbs for a broader and more flowing stretch of road.
Gore Pass
The road then turns over Gore Pass, a quieter and more technical section that adds a different rhythm to the day before the return south.
The Return | Highway 9
The final stretch follows the Blue River Valley south, bringing the group back toward Vail on a broader and more composed closing section.
Hotel | The Sebastian - Vail
Guests return to the hotel in the evening with time to reset and refresh before dinner.
Dinner | Swiss Chalet
Endulge in whatever you'd like - dinner is left open for the evening.
Departure | The Sebastian - Vail
The route heads east from Vail through the Eisenhower Tunnel and out of the higher mountain corridor, beginning the transition toward Colorado’s Front Range.
Canyon Run | Central City Parkway
After leaving the interstate, the drive continues along Central City Parkway, a faster-moving section that reintroduces a more controlled driving pace before the day’s scenic byway begins.
Peak to Peak Highway
From there, the route follows the Peak to Peak Highway north toward Estes Park, with mountain terrain to the west and longer views opening to the east.
Lunch | Estes Park
Lunch is scheduled in Estes Park before the route turns south for the final driving section of the day.
The Descent | St. Vrain Canyon
The afternoon continues through St. Vrain Canyon and along Highway 7, where the road narrows and becomes more technical on the descent toward Boulder.
Hotel Arrival | St. Julien Hotel & Spa
By late afternoon, guests arrive at the hotel in Boulder with time to check in, reset, and refresh before the evening.
Departure | St. Julien Hotel & Spa
The final morning begins with an eastbound departure from Boulder as the route leaves the mountains behind and heads toward the circuit.
Farewell Lunch | High Plains Raceway
Arrive at High Plains Raceway with the group for a private catered lunch and a final opportunity to reflect on the experience.
Track Sessions | High Plains Raceway
The rally concludes with 2 dedicated track sessions in the Xtreme Xperience fleet, bringing the experience to a close in a more controlled circuit setting after several days on the road.
